Bars

Fancy a fancy drink? A cocktail with a water view? Or a casual beer in pub-style? Sydney is bursting with big, vibrant venues down to little hole in the wall establishments. We could go on and on – but here is a small selection of our recommendations to get you started:

P.J. Gallagher´s Sports Bar & Bistro @ the Criterion Hotel
Cnr Pitt & Park Streets, Sydney
www.criterionhotel.net.au

Located a short stroll or stumble from Park Regis City Centre, the street level public bar offers a relaxed surrounding which merging traditional pub with modern day style. Enjoy a flutter in the TAB Bar or venture downstairs and experience The Snug – the perfect place to spend a few hours with a cold drink and a hearty meal or enjoy all the big games on their massive TV screens.

Bambini Wine Room
185 Elizabeth Street, Sydney
www.bambinitrust.com.au

Not just a fancy place for a fancy meal, but an equally classy and swanky choice to sit and swill a glass or two of something special. You won’t find VB on tap here – purely top shelf tipples and imported “birra”, “cidre”, “aperitivo” and endless liqueurs to end another superb day whilst visiting Sydney.

Edinburgh Castle Hotel
294 Pitt Street, Cnr Pitt & Bathurst Streets, Sydney
www.edinburghcastlehotel.com.au

This heritage listed pub is an inner city institution with old world charm.  The main bar is located on the ground floor and is great place to play pool or choose your favourite songs on the video juke box. The lounge bar is the home of our bistro as well as a classic cocktail bar with function spaces. Check out the pub’s outside area – more like a little secret garden in the middle of the city.

Darling Harbour
www.darlingharbour.com.au

When the sun goes down Darling Harbour heats up with the city’s hottest night spots and coolest bars playing host to Sydney’s party crowd.

Enjoy a romantic cocktail high above Cockle Bay or dance until dawn with the world’s most famous harbour as your backdrop.
